Christmas Message from HM the King

 

Greetings Citizens of Wellmoore, Allies and Friends. 

2021 has been a challenging year for many with the pandemic seeming no closer to it's end, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan allowing the Taliban to take control back over the country, us Wellmooreans facing insurgency and other events happening at other times in the year.

Despite the challenges we and the world has faced, this year has been one of great progress and development in Wellmoore. This year has seen the development of my Privy Council, the News Association, the Armed Forces as well as us becoming more engaged with the micronational community. 

This is my second Christmas as King of Wellmoore and I wish to thank those who have supported me throughout my reign so far. 

To celebrate the time of year and to thank those who have supported me as King in the past 12 months I'd like to award the following people:

    • Order of the Sword, Loyalty and Merit in the Class of Grand Collar (Post Nominals - GCoITE)
      • Awarded to Axel for Continued Service to Wellmoore and Merit in the Office of Prime Minister 
  • The Right Honourable Officer Cadet Dylan PC
    • Most Noble Order of Freedom in the Class of Stranger Knight (Post Nominals - SKOF)
      • Awarded to Dylan for Continued Loyal Service in the Privy Council of Wellmoore 
I'd also like to thank the following people:
  • King Liam - Thank you for being a good ally to Wellmoore before the unfortunate collapse of the Kingdom of Titan.
  • Afrasiya Jamshaid - Thank you for all the opportunities you gave me to help in Tinakula. It was a pleasure working with you and it was a shame to see you leave the Micronational Community. I and Aanaak are doing our best to develop Tinakula more. 
  • Aānaāk Desslok - It's been a pleasure working with you to develop and lead Tinakula so far, I look forwards to seeing what we achieve in the year ahead. 
  • President Baugh - Thank you for supporting Wellmoore through our Crisis in the Summer. 
I hope to see more people like those mentioned and awarded here in the future as it's these people who help shape Wellmoore, which is certainly a task I could not do alone. 

I and Wellmoore have achieved a notable amount this year and I look forward to seeing what the nation achieves in 2022 and beyond. 

I wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year, here's to another year of achievement.

Appointment of the Lord High Admiral

  Appointment of the Lord High Admiral Today King Luke appointed himself Lord High Admiral of Wellmoore in response to the rising pressure and conflict between Ukraine and Russia.  His Majesty appointed himself into this role in accordance with his role of Commander-in-Chief in which he holds the rank of Admiral of the Fleet within the Royal Wellmoorean Navy.  The role of Lord High Admiral allows the officeholder to hold some ceremonial power over the Wellmoorean Navy. Officeholders are appointed by the monarch and officeholders serve at His Majesty's pleasure.  As the King has taken this role alongside his Commander-in-Chief position we can assume that he is planning to ensure Wellmoore and Wellmoorean Citizens are defended and safe from any threats from eastern Europe.  As the nation is limited in what it can do in response to the crisis we are unsure what other decision may also be made to further ensure the safety of the Kingdom.

Opening of the Ministry of the Interior

 Today the Ministry of the Interior was founded in the Wellmoorean Cabinet. The Ministry will assist in the smooth running of Wellmoore and assist in dealing with internal affairs. This has also created the role 'Minister of the Interior', the person who holds this position will be appointed by the Prime Minster like the other cabinet positions.

The Formal Opening of His Majesty's Prison Service

 Today King Luke formally opened HM's Prison Service under the Wellmoorean Ministry of Justice, to assist the previously opened 'Royal Guardhouse'. However the Prison Service will act as a standalone service to the Royal Guardhouse (who work more on punishment) but they will work in unison to help maintain the safety of the nation.  The Prison Service will work on punishment and rehabilitation of any arrested criminals once the nation is fully set up on a land claim.
